We're building Bird, a personal operating system designed around a simple premise: technology should be adaptive, aligned with core human values and empower individuals in their own pursuits of advancing knowledge and civilization. This represents our entry into what we believe will be the defining computing shift of the next decade.
The Personal OS Bet
While search engines organized the web in the dot-com era, the next big winner will be all-in-one personal operating systems that have a superior way of organizing and fundamentally empowering individual lives. Current computing interfaces leave no other choice than to adapt to fragmented, attention-seeking and sometimes hostile systems that prioritize engagement over productivity.
Bird as a way out
We're developing Bird as a way out – a humane and adaptive system with true ownership of your data and AI. Designed as a new framework for thought and communication that liberates information and empowers individual minds.
The Result: Instead of jumping between applications and being treated like a product, users will be able to work within their own system that is better in every aspect.
Our Mission
Our mission is to build an operating system that empowers individuals in all life areas to pursue the ultimate goal of advancing knowledge and civilization. Bird is being built on our middle way theory that may lead to collective advancement and which is grounded in optimism and a commitment to human progress.
This approach stems from our belief that current systems are still young, immature and misaligned with collective advancement. Too many platforms are bloated with unnecessary features that create friction rather than enabling meaningful progress. We're cutting everything non-essential to create something simpler yet more powerful.
What Makes Us Unique
Bird began as a decade-long personal research project, which focused on removing friction from the computer and phone experience, leading to two key outcomes: 1) A fundamental understanding of an individual's core data and core capabilities. 2) The Advancers Philosophy: the core value system of Bird and a possible way to collective advancement.
